Here is how this works in practice. We set up self-tape sessions, in-person reads at Auckland and The capital studio facilities, and chemistry reads via secure cloud transfer for global directors and producers. Casting briefs are matched against Te Reo Māori fluency, te ao Māori cultural fluency, Pasifika community standing (Samoan, Tongan, Cook Islands Māori, Niuean), NZ Sign Language certification where needed, and accent versatility for productions doubling NZ as Northern Hemisphere settings. Equity NZ rates, residuals, and reciprocal IATSE/SAG-AFTRA agreements are negotiated against the NZSPG-supported budget, with NZD invoicing and PAYE deducted at source.
